At Last....

Outdoor weddings in Washington are always a tricky thing...no matter what time of year there is always a chance of rain!! Thankfully that was not the case on the day of Kathy and Tony's wedding 18 years in the making. There were some clouds yes, but the heavens were not open unleashing their northwesterly charm on us that day...sigh of relief.

As I pulled up to the site of the ceremony I could not have been more pleased.

The bride had taken good care of me that day.  I was instantly inspired by the adorable country Bible Church.  My heart swooned and I could not have been more at ease for the day ahead.

To me a wedding is a joyful work of art.  SO much time and preparation goes into creating such a special day.  While I might adore all those thoughts and details... there is really a greater purpose to a wedding day.  Let me share with you a poem I found that speaks so beautifully to the meaning behind all this fluff that I just melt over.

Ever wonder why God gives us two?

A right hand to show the left what to do.

One ear to listen and one to hear
the problems of others,
their laughter and fears.

One eye to watch and one to behold
the beautiful treasures that life has to hold.

One foot to travel and one to stand tall.

Two feet to land on if we should fall.

One man to stand by a woman's side;

One woman to cherish being his bride.

The love between partners
comes shining through
and that is the reason
God has made two.

Thank you Kathy and Tony for allowing me to be a small part of such an amazing day.  It was my honor and privilege, all my love!!

*Shine On*
